Job Summary The Plant HR Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day human resource operations at the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth HR processes, statutory compliance, employee engagement, industrial relations support, and workforce management.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Handle end-to-end recruitment for workmen, operators, supervisors, and staff.
Coordinate interviews with department heads.
Complete joining formalities, documentation, induction, and onboarding.
Maintain employee personal files and HR records.
Attendance & Payroll
Monitor daily attendance, shift rosters, overtime, and leave records.
Verify attendance data for payroll processing.
Coordinate with the payroll team for salary inputs and employee queries.
Maintain manpower reports and absenteeism records.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Address employee grievances and ensure timely resolution.
Support disciplinary actions and maintain related documentation.
Promote employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities.
Assist in maintaining harmonious industrial relations.
Coordinate with employee committees and workmen representatives.
Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with:

EPF & ESIC
Bonus Act
Payment of Wages Act
Shops & Establishment Act (where applicable)
Maintain statutory registers and records.
Coordinate labour law inspections and statutory audits.
Ensure contractor compliance and documentation.
Contract Labour Management
Monitor contractor manpower deployment.
Verify contractor attendance and wage compliance.
Ensure statutory documents of contractors are updated.
Coordinate contractor onboarding and gate pass formalities.
Learning & Development
Conduct employee induction programs.
Coordinate technical, safety, behavioural, and statutory training sessions.
Maintain training records and effectiveness reports.
Health, Safety & Welfare
Coordinate with the EHS team on safety awareness programs.
