Role & responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection to ensure product quality compliance.
Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor daily quality performance and drive reduction in rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
Perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plan activities for current and existing products.
Conduct process audits, layered process audits (LPA), and internal quality audits.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and NPD teams to resolve quality issues.
Ensure calibration and proper use of measuring instruments and gauges.
Verify products as per engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and quality records.
Analyze quality data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Participate in customer audits and support timely closure of audit observations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Lean Manufacturing.




Train shop floor operators on quality standards, inspection methods, and defect prevention.
Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and company quality procedures.

Preferred candidate profile
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering.
36 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in an automotive manufacturing industry.
Experience in sheet metal components, tube bending, welding, and fabrication processes will be preferred.
Valuable knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and 8D problem-solving.
Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications.
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Surface Plate, and CMM.
Experience in handling customer complaints, process improvements, and internal audits.
Proficient in MS Office and preparation of quality reports.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience working with automotive OEM/Tier-1 customers
