Role & responsibilities

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality control procedures and inspection standards.
Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements.
Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and final inspection.
Perform root cause analysis for quality issues using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects.
Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Handle customer complaints and coordinate resolution with production teams.
Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other applicable quality management systems.
Coordinate with production, design, purchase, and suppliers to improve product quality.
Conduct supplier quality evaluations and incoming material inspections.
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and CMM (if applicable).
Support internal and external quality audits.
Train operators and production staff on quality standards and inspection methods.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection and increase productivity.





Required Skills
Robust knowledge of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA)
Valuable understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings
Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodology
Experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 quality systems
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Positive communication and teamwork
Proficiency in MS Excel and quality documentation
Attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred candidate profile Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering

1-5years in Manufacturing, CNC, Automotive, Precision Engineering, or Engineering Industries
