Core Responsibilities
Source fabrics, trims, and embellishments (zips, buttons, laces, laces, thread) from local markets (e.g., Surat, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur).
Onboard and negotiate rates with local job workers, dyeing units, printing facilities, and embroidery (karigari) workshops.
Build production timelines (Time and Action / T&A; calendars) to meet dispatch deadlines for domestic collections and festive seasons (Diwali, Wedding/Couture season, etc.).
Plan daily/weekly cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging schedules.
Calculate Bill of Materials (BOM) and total unit production costs (fabric yield, labor, overheads) to hit target profit margins.
Establish quality checkpoints at fabric arrival, post-stitching, post-embroidery, and final packaging.
Minimize fabric wastage, rejection rates, and stitching defects.
Track raw material inventory and stock levels of finished garments.
Supervise tailors, master cutters, checkers, and packers on the floor.Work closely with the sampling team (master-ji and tailors) to translate sketches into physical samples.
Conduct fitting sessions, mark alterations, and refine the tech pack based on fit feedback.
Design motifs and placements for print or embroidery (zardozi, aari, chikankari, print graphics).
Prepare CAD artworks for screen/digital printers or traced layout (khaka) for artisans.
Prepare detailed technical flat sketches (tech packs) including measurements, seam details, and stitching instructions for the pattern maker (Master-ji).
Maintain specs sheets, fabric swatches, and trim libraries.
Assist the production manager in sourcing specialized fabrics, borders, or trims during sample creation.
Pay: ₹18,343.12 - ₹35,000.00 per month
