Position: Planning Engineer (Projects)

Role Overview The Planning Engineer will manage project planning and controls for Oil & Gas and Energy EPC projects. The role focuses on:

Project scheduling

Monitoring project progress

Cost and budget control

Risk management

Reporting

Proposal planning

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Level 3/Level 4 (L3/L4) project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Coordinate with project teams to establish project control procedures.

Prepare and maintain

DCI (Document Control Index)

MCI (Material Control Index)

CCI (Construction Control Index)

Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans for schedule delays.

Track project budgets and perform variance analysis.

Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.





Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.

Verify project data and ensure accurate reporting.

Prepare planning schedules for new project proposals.

Required Skills

Robust expertise in Primavera P6

Valuable working knowledge of MS Project

EPC project planning experience

Project scheduling and progress measurement

Budget and cost control

Suitable Background

This role is best suited for professionals with:

8–12 years of planning experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Energy EPC projects

Experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning planning
