Role Description The PGT Economics role is a full time, on-site position based at G.D.

Goenka Public School

Jhajjar. The educator will plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons for senior secondary classes, aligned with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and applied economics concepts, assigning and evaluating student work, and maintaining accurate academic records.

The role also involves mentoring learners, organizing exam preparation, participating in school activities, collaborating with colleagues,



and contributing to the academic and co-curricular development of the department.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Economics and Health Economics, with the ability to explain both theoretical and applied concepts clearly.

Candidates should possess skills in Economic Modeling and Statistics to support data-driven teaching, problem-solving, and curriculum enrichment.

Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret economic data, develop classroom examples, and guide students in critical thinking.

Master’s degree in Economics (or equivalent) with a B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification is preferred.

Prior experience teaching Economics at senior secondary level, ideally in a CBSE or similar curriculum setting.

Solid classroom management, communication, and lesson-planning skills, with a learner-centered approach.

Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and assessment.

Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive practices, and the overall well-being and development of students.
