Key ResponsibilitiesReview and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness. Dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products. Counsel patients on medication dosage, administration, side effects, interactions, and storage.
Monitor patients for drug interactions, allergies, and adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient medication records. Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and expiry monitoring.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff where applicable. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare specialists to optimize patient therapy. Administer vaccinations and other clinical services, where permitted.
Maintain cleanliness, security, and organization of the pharmacy.
