We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of raw materials, consumables, machinery parts, and indirect materials as per organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, vendor management, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, source, and procure raw materials, consumables, machinery parts, and indirect materials based on organizational requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other contractual terms with suppliers.
Prepare, process, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with internal departments including Production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to understand procurement requirements.
Resolve supplier-related issues related to quality, material shortages, delayed deliveries, invoice discrepancies, and other procurement concerns.
Maintain accurate procurement records,



vendor documentation, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier performance data.
Support vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and supplier development initiatives.
Contribute to strategic sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
Coordinate with inventory and stores teams to ensure optimum material availability and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and documentation requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain functions.
Robust knowledge of procurement and inventory management systems.
Hands-on experience in Purchase Order management.
Experience in vendor evaluation, vendor development, and supplier relationship management.
Solid understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
Valuable negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet timelines.
Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems is preferred.
