Role Description The Resident Medical Officer is a full-time, in office role based at Surya Trauma Centre & Hospital in Aurai. The role involves providing round-the-clock medical care, assessing and managing patients in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings, and coordinating with consultants and surgical teams as needed. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring accurate medical documentation.

The Resident Medical

Officer will also support trauma and surgical cases, participate in patient counseling, assist in clinical decision-making,



and contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and quality care.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Medicine with ability to assess, diagnose, and manage common medical conditions.

Proficient in Patient Care, including monitoring, follow-up, and clear communication with patients and families.

Experience or exposure to Surgery and trauma care, with readiness to assist surgical teams as required.

Ability to work effectively with Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.

Capability and willingness for Training, continuous learning, and participation in clinical updates and protocols.

Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.

Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to ethical and safety standards.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergencies as needed.

Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Prior experience as a Resident Medical Officer or in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
