Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Scratch Teacher who will conduct online classes for children using Scratch to teach the fundamentals of coding and game design.

The Scratch

Teacher will plan and deliver interactive lessons, guide students through projects, and provide clear explanations of coding concepts in an age-appropriate manner. Daily tasks include preparing lesson materials, demonstrating Scratch features live, supporting students as they build their own animations and games, and giving constructive feedback on their work. The role also involves tracking student progress,



maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with the team to improve curriculum and teaching practices.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience working with children or young learners.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and Training skills to explain concepts clearly and guide students through hands-on activities.
Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills to design structured, engaging, and age-appropriate Scratch sessions.
Comfort with Scratch or similar visual programming tools, and basic understanding of coding and logical thinking concepts.
Ability to manage online classrooms, use video conferencing tools, and create an inclusive and supportive learning setting.
Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching children and fostering interest in technology and coding.
Prior tutoring or teaching experience in STEM or computer science is beneficial; formal education or certification in education or related fields is a plus.
