About The Tatva App The Tatva is building a mobile-first news experience that delivers credible, concise, and engaging news to millions of readers. We're looking for a Senior Sub-Editor who has a sharp editorial eye, understands digital news consumption, and knows how to make every headline count.
Key Responsibilities
Edit, proofread, and optimize news stories for clarity, accuracy, and readability.
Write compelling, click-worthy headlines and summaries without compromising editorial integrity.
Monitor breaking news and identify stories that matter to our audience.
Manage the end-to-end publishing process on the app, including formatting, tagging, scheduling, and push notifications.
Ensure all published content aligns with The Tatva's editorial standards and style guide.
Track story performance and use audience insights to improve content quality and engagement.
Work closely with writers and the editorial team to ensure timely and accurate publishing.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in digital journalism, news editing, or sub-editing.
Excellent command of written English with strong editing and proofreading skills.
Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS).
Strong understanding of current affairs, digital news, and mobile-first content.
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced newsroom and meet tight deadlines.
Comfortable working versatile shifts, including evening shifts when required.
