We are looking for a Senior Manager Data Engineering Delivery to lead end-to-end delivery of data engineering programs, manage high-performing teams, and ensure successful execution of enterprise data initiatives. The role combines solid delivery management, solid technical understanding, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Program Management
Own delivery of data engineering programs from planning to execution.
Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of data platforms and pipelines.
Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
Drive predictable delivery through governance and tracking mechanisms.
Technical Leadership
Guide teams on data engineering design and implementation.
Review solution architecture for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Support adoption of up-to-date data stack (cloud, streaming, ETL/ELT tools).
Ensure best practices in data quality, governance, and CI/CD pipelines.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor engineers and technical leads.
Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership and execution.
Support hiring and capability building within the team.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business and technology stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans.
Act as escalation point for delivery issues.
Thought Leadership
Contribute to data strategy discussions and modernization initiatives.
Promote adoption of modern data engineering practices.
Bring awareness of emerging trends in data and analytics.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform delivery.
3–5+ years in a senior leadership or delivery management role.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Hands-on understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data architecture.
Experience with tools like Spark, SQL, Airflow, Kafka, dbt (any relevant stack).
Proven experience managing cross-functional or distributed teams.
