Role & responsibilities
Operate and monitor silo filling, discharge, and conveying systems.
Maintain proper stock levels of coal, fly ash, or other bulk materials.
Conduct routine inspections of silos, feeders, conveyors, and associated equipment.
Record operational data and report abnormalities to the Control Room or Supervisor.
Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for smooth plant functioning.
Follow plant safety standards, housekeeping practices, and environmental regulations.
Assist in troubleshooting material flow issues and equipment malfunctions.
Preferred candidate profile The Silo Operator is responsible for the protected and productive operation of coal/ash/material silos in the power plant. The role includes monitoring material handling systems, maintaining silo inventory levels, ensuring uninterrupted fuel or ash movement, and complying with safety and operational procedures.
