Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior FortiGate Firewall Engineer to manage and maintain our on-premises network infrastructure. This role involves hands-on FortiGate Firewall and network administration, proactive monitoring, security hardening, and rapid incident response. You will work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Security:
Configure and manage FortiGate firewall.
Create and maintain firewall policies, Security Profiles, NAT rules, and VPN configurations.
Configure and troubleshoot BGP with multicast network flows from the firewall to AWS DirectConnect.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, packet loss, and routing issues.
Configure and troubleshoot network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell).
Manage VLANs, trunk/access ports, and routing.
Ensure adherence to security best practices and access controls.

Operations & Support:
Provide Tier-2 / Tier-3 support for network security incidents and cybersecurity incidents.
Proactively monitor network and system health.
Coordinate with IT,



DevOps, and Security teams for infrastructure changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for
Firewall rules
Network topology

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in FortiGate Firewall.
Prior experience working with exchange networks (e.g., NSE, BSE, MCX) will be an advantage

Technical Skills.

Solid experience with
Firewall (FortiGate)
Network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell)

Solid understanding of:
TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, IPSec
VLANs, routing, multicast, and NAT
Firewall security policies and VPNs
Strong troubleshooting using CLI-based tools

Positive to Have (Preferred)
CIS hardening experience
VAPT assessment
SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow
NSE4 / CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge

Ownership mindset with attention to detail
Transparent documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
