Role Type: Desktop application / backend systems development

Tech Stack: Rust, Tauri, React integration, optional C/C++

Role Overview The application will run on laptops/tablets and will be packaged as an installable desktop application using Rust + Taur i , with React on the frontend.

We are looking for Rust developers who can work rapid, write clean systems-level code, and contribute to drone communication, telemetry, video, mission control, and multi-drone workflows.

Key Responsibilities
● Build the Rust backend for a Tauri desktop application
● Develop offline-first application logic for field use with no internet dependency
● Implement drone telemetry parsing and data handling
● Build algorithms for radar queue / drone queue handling
● Work on video streaming from drones into the ground control system
● Support logistics mission modes, including:
▪ Long-range drone missions
▪ One drone acting as relay
▪ One drone acting as load carrier
● Support swarm drone operations, including:
▪ Multiple drones spraying pesticides
▪ Multi-drone telemetry monitoring
▪ Visualization and control of multiple drones from one ground control system
● Integrate Rust backend services with the React frontend through Tauri commands/events.
● Work with hardware-facing protocols,



drone data streams, and real-time system constraints
● Write reliable, maintainable, and testable Rust code.
● Contribute to a high-speed development process with frequent iteration.

Required Skills
● Solid hands-on experience with Rust
● Experience building desktop applications or system-level applications
● Understanding of asynchronous programming in Rust
● Experience with data parsing, binary protocols, streaming data, or telemetry systems
● Ability to write clean APIs between backend and frontend layers
● Good debugging and performance optimization skills
● Comfortable working in a fast-moving product development environment

Minimum Experience
● Rust: Minimum 3 years
● Overall software development: Minimum 4 years
● Desktop/system/backend development: Minimum 2 years

Valuable to Have
● Experience with Tauri
● Experience with drone systems, robotics, IoT, embedded systems, or ground control software
● Experience with video streaming protocols
● Familiarity with C or C++ for low-level integrations
● Experience with offline-first applications
● Knowledge of GIS, maps, mission planning, or real-time visualization systems
