-To accurately mark steel plates, profiles, panel ,and hull blocks according to approved drawings and loft data.
-Study and interpret ship structural drawing, shell expansion drawings, and production sketches.
-Lead preparation of skids for block fabrication according to the block dimensions.
-Mark reference lines, Enter-lines, cut-lines, weld-lines, buttock lines, water lines and fitting location on steel plates and structural members.
-Transfer dimensions from drawing to workpieces using measuring instruments and templates.
-Check the CNC components for accuracy with the production drawings. Verify the dimensions before cutting, forming and assembly .
-Using marking tools such as chalk, soapstone, scribers, punches, measuring tapes, steel rules, square, and laser measuring equipment.
-Report drawing discrepancies or dimensional conflicts to the supervisor. Follow Shipyard Quality procedures and applicable classification society requirements.
-Able to read and interpret shipbuilding structural drawings. Check alignment and dimensions during block assembly and hull erections.
