We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for Arcana. The engineer must have a passion for diving into data and technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team workplace. This role is critical in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps meet software quality goals.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with various teams at Arcana to understand automation needs.
Contribute to and maintain test automation framework development.
Lead programmatic best practices by example; be a hands-on programmer.
Estimate efforts, identify risks, devise mitigation plans, and meet project automation schedules.
Monitor automation metrics for continuous quality and process improvements.

Requirements

:
3 to 4 years of solid experience developing test automation for frontend automation using Playwright, Selenium, or other browser automation tools.
Experience automating GraphQL APIs,



REST APIs, etc.
Expert-level knowledge in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Experience with industry best practices in software development processes: unit testing, code coverage, object-oriented design, code quality, automation, code reviews, etc.
Proven ownership and delivery of automation for a sizable product or product component; strong sense of independence and self-direction.
Experience working with large codebases, writing current code, and maintaining existing code.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, prioritize automation requirements, and deliver in a timely fashion.
Experience working with CI/CD tools.
Proficient in Git, Bitbucket, or other version control tools.
Working knowledge of SQL, GCP/AWS, and database systems.

Preferred

Experience automating financial or analytics software.
