Position Summary: [Software Engineer with solid expertise in C++ development in a Windows setting. Will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing legacy systems, implementing new features, and ensuring compliance with organizational software development standards. This role requires familiarity with tools for requirement management, bug tracking, unit testing, and configuration management.]
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand legacy codebases to implement modifications and enhancements.
Develop and maintain software applications using C++, ensuring adherence to company policies and development processes.
Implement code changes based on approved change requests, ensuring quality and performance standards.
Conduct unit testing, performance testing, and assist in integration testing as required.
Utilize tools for requirement management, bug tracking, and configuration management to ensure traceability and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and deliver robust solutions.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for code changes and processes.
Requirements:
Education: [Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science, MCA, BCA or equivalent.]
Experience: [more than 2 years.]
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in C++ programming in a Windows environment.
Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and familiarity with .NET framework.
Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
Experience with tools for
Requirement Management (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar)
Bug Tracking (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
Configuration Management (e.g., Git, SVN)
Other Requirements:
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to work offsite for extended periods as per project needs.
