Subject Matter Expert (SME) Pneumatic system

Position Purpose

Lead the design, development, validation, and optimization of pneumatic systems, modules, and components for textile machinery applications, ensuring performance, quality, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop pneumatic systems, modules, and components, including selection and sizing of pneumatic equipment for textile machinery applications.
Drive DFM and DFA activities to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
Conduct technical reviews with suppliers and support component development and validation.
Create and maintain 2D/3D models, assemblies, drawings, material specifications, and BOMs.
Apply GD&T; principles, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering calculations for components and assemblies.
Perform DFMEA, risk assessment, design validation, and engineering analysis.
Develop design guidelines, checklists, RCA, and CAPA documentation. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, and End Users for current product introduction and problem resolution.




Resolve customer complaints and support troubleshooting activities using structured problem-solving tools such as 5W+2H, 8D, and QCC.

Desired Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering Design with relevant industrial experience.
Solid domain expertise in Pneumatic Engineering, Circuit Design, and Layout Design.
Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD modeling and engineering documentation.
Knowledge of ISO/JIS standards related to pneumatic systems.
Experience in IPR creation, patent study, and innovative product development.
Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to deliver quality solutions within committed project time-lines.
