Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tandoor Cook at Dhaba Restaurant, located in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of tandoor items such as naan, roti, kebabs, and marinated meats, ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation.

The Tandoor

Cook is responsible for managing tandoor ovens, monitoring cooking times and temperatures, and maintaining a clean and secure workstation. Day-to-day tasks include food preparation, portioning, marination, adherence to hygiene and safety standards,



and coordination with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure timely service. The role also includes inventory checks for tandoor ingredients and supporting other kitchen operations as needed.

Qualifications Relevant experience working with tandoor ovens and preparing traditional tandoori breads and grilled items.

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation standards.

Ability to work in a rapid-paced kitchen environment, manage multiple orders, and maintain quality under pressure.

Basic understanding of Indian cuisine, spices, marination techniques, and flavor profiles.

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, handle high heat, and perform repetitive tasks safely.

Prior experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen; formal culinary training is an advantage but not required.

Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
