We are seeking a skilled Technical Illustrator to join our dynamic documentation team as part of an engineering team that develops/Converts Legacy Drawings or 3D Models into visually accurate service and maintenance instructions and demonstrate product assembly.
The person will understand Stakeholders requirement and follow the task independently.
Roles and Responsibilities
Create high-quality 2D technical illustrations from legacy engineering drawings, CAD data, and 3D models.
Convert engineering information into visual content for:
Service manuals
Maintenance instructions
Assembly procedures
Spare parts catalogs
Use PTC Creo Illustrate and/or IsoDraw to develop accurate illustrations and assembly sequences.
Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and component specifications.
Collaborate with Engineering, PLM, and Documentation teams to ensure technical accuracy.
Understand and work with Bill of Materials (BOMs) and product structure data.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.
Participate in reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback into final documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
Work effectively with globally distributed teams across different time zones
Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
What we look for
Bachelors degree / Diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.
1 to 4 years of experience in technical illustration or engineering documentation.
Proficiency in PTC Creo Illustrate and/or IsoDraw.
Valuable understanding of mechanical assemblies, BOMs, and Windchill/PLM systems.
Solid analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced workplace.
Experience with service manuals, spare parts catalogs, and maintenance documentation.
Exposure to CAD tools and global engineering teams.
