Located in the Department of Social Services – Various Locations: Under the general direction of a higher level manager or director, and located in the Department of Social Services, incumbents of this class manage a significant component of a District Office engaged in providing temporary assistance advantages and services.

Responsibilities include interpreting policies, regulations and directives; developing and implementing procedures in accordance with Federal, state and local mandates, and developing performance measures and procedures for the collection and analysis of performance data. In addition to performing many functions assigned to the lower-level Temporary Assistance Manager I,



this class differs from that classification in that incumbents are assigned more complex programs and must exercise a high degree of initiative in carrying out program and management objectives with less clearly defined regulations and directives. Supervision is exercised over a number of managers and/or supervisors and administrative supervision is exercised over a significant number of subordinates.
