Perform ARC (SMAW) welding for shipbuilding, ship repair, and marine fabrication works, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of assigned jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out ARC welding on hull structures, decks, bulkheads, and marine components.
Read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Prepare welding joints and perform welding as per WPS.
Inspect weld quality and rectify defects when required.
Operate welding and cutting equipment safely.
Follow safety procedures, hot work permits, and PPE requirements.
Maintain welding equipment and housekeeping at the worksite.
Coordinate with fitters, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel.
Qualification
ITI in Welder Trade or equivalent.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or heavy fabrication.
Skills
Proficiency in SMAW (ARC) welding.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Knowledge of marine safety practices.
Valuable teamwork, discipline, and attention to quality.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
