Role & responsibilities

1.Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components using CAD Software.

2.Produce the required Engineering documentation then check for compliance with industry standards and Expros policies and procedures.

3.Record Engineering documents into PDM system and configure as required

4.Create concept designs through sketches and 3D model files. Create current assembly configurations and product variants.

5.Produce load case diagrams and load case registers for input to finite element analysis activities.

6.Produce calculations for design verification (applying engineering theory / ability to work from first principles and in compliance with internal procedures, client requirements and industry standards).

7.Create Engineering component and assembly drawings.

8.Conduct research to evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.





9.Actively participate in Engineering meetings with internal and external parties and lead specific design reviews

10.Upload information to Engineering databases and proficient in the use of technical software packages

11.Liaise with other technical departments on work produced to ensure that any calculations and analysis is fit for purpose

Preferred candidate profile
Degree in engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
5+ years work experience preferably oilfield.
Proficient in use of technical software packages (e.g. Inventor, Solid Works).
Robust knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g. Ansys, Abacus) is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Robust communication and teamwork abilities.
