1.The blood sample collected from the donor is tested against all transmissible diseases.
2.If the sample is found Elisa negative the blood will be cross matched with particular patients sample is stored as per the preserving conditions applicable.
3.To maintain the necessary records applicable.
4.To sort out the sample based on their groupings.
5.To investigate DCT/ICT/irregular antibodies.
6.To prepare known ABO pooled cells.
7.To ensure that the blood bank license/ Components are renewed from time to time and prominently displayed in the lab.

Check of cross matching
To ensure quality control
8.Checking the procedure adopted for separation of plasma and platelets.
9.To coordinate between doctors of other hospitals and blood banks.
10.To ensure proper maintenance of relevant records including stock.
11.To ensure positive housekeeping activities in the lab.
