Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Secondary Substation to join our Transmission & Distribution team in India. This is an exciting chance for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Energy projects across the globe and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Protection & Control engineers and technical specialists.
Develop, refine and optimise P&C; solutions including creation of key line diagrams, schematic diagrams, relay settings, SCADA topology diagrams, wiring diagrams, design specifications, interface drawings etc. for various Transmission & Distribution clients.
Owner’s Engineers role, to review and comment on supplier designs and calculations on behalf of HV Clients, including BESS and Renewables projects
Conduct Protection Coordination Studies and Settings calculations where required using ETAP or similar software (desired).




Coordinate across multi-disciplinary engineering environments and project managers.
Support with technical reports and bids, as well as foster positive relationships with clients.
Ensure adherence to AECOM and client design management processes while leading project and client meetings as needed.
Mentor team members in their development, facilitating opportunities that build competency, and assisting with qualified accreditation where appropriate.
Ensure design submissions comply with codes, standards such as IEEE, IEC, National Grid, and quality requirements.
Drive innovation in AI, digital, scripts automation, develop the user defined energetic & transient models.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules.
