The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and optimal performance of plant machinery and equipment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and minimizing downtime to support continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies and procedures.
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments of systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
Participate in shutdown maintenance and improvement projects.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
