We are looking for a Purchase Engineer / Senior Purchase Engineer with strong experience in procurement, supplier development, and sourcing of engineering components for a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end procurement activities from RFQ to Purchase Order.
Develop new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
Source alternate suppliers to improve cost, quality and delivery performance.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Planning, Quality and Stores for material requirements.
Negotiate prices, commercial terms and delivery schedules.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time material availability.
Support Recent Product Development (NPD) by identifying suitable suppliers.
Prepare procurement MIS and ensure timely closure of purchase activities.
Candidate Profile
B.E. Mechanical / Production Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
Positive understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
Experience in supplier development and commercial negotiations.
Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
Preferred Industry
Experience in Industrial Valves, Pumps, Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment or General Manufacturing will be preferred.
