The Mechanical Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance with engineering standards throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves inspection, quality analysis, process improvement, root cause analysis, and implementation of quality control procedures to maintain high production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure product quality during manufacturing and assembly processes
Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and inspection records
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards
Coordinate with production and design teams to resolve quality-related issues
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges
Conduct internal audits and support external quality audits
Analyze production data and recommend process improvements
Handle customer complaints and quality concerns effectively
Ensure adherence to safety and quality policies
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience Required
1–5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality control
Freshers with robust technical knowledge may also apply
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive, machining, or manufacturing industries
