Job Title: Junior Purchase Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Purchase Engineer responsible for procurement of raw materials, fabrication items, and engineering components required for trailer manufacturing operations. The candidate will ensure timely availability of materials at optimum cost while maintaining quality standards and strong vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities
Handle complete procurement cycle – RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, and PO release
Procure fabrication items, steel, bought-out parts, and consumables
Develop and manage local vendors for machining, fabrication, and services
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Design, and Stores for material requirements
Ensure on-time delivery of materials as per production schedule
Monitor and control inventory levels (Min-Max, reorder level)
Conduct rate negotiation and cost reduction activities
Maintain vendor database and supplier performance records
Follow up with vendors for material dispatch and delivery
Verify technical specifications, drawings, and BOM before procurement
Prepare purchase MIS reports and documentation
Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies





Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
2–5 years experience in Purchase (Manufacturing / Fabrication Industry preferred)
Valuable knowledge of engineering materials, fabrication processes, and drawings
Experience in ERP system (SAP / Tally / any ERP)

Experience in Trailer / Automobile / Heavy Fabrication Industry
Knowledge of outsourcing processes (laser cutting, bending, machining, welding)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
