Job Summary

The F&B; Captain is responsible for supervising restaurant operations during shifts, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining high standards of hospitality, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of service staff.
Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and skilled service.
Welcome guests and assist them with menu selections.
Take and manage reservations and seating arrangements.
Monitor food and beverage service quality and presentation.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
Train and guide stewards and junior service staff.
Prepare duty rosters and allocate work responsibilities.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in all service areas.
Monitor stock levels of service equipment and supplies.
Assist in achieving departmental sales and guest satisfaction targets.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards.

Requirements




Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service.
Previous experience as Captain or Senior Steward in a hotel or restaurant.
Solid leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and guest-handling abilities.
Positive knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and service standards.
Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
