A Ward Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to admitted patients, monitors their condition, administers medications, and supports recovery. They work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure secure and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients’ health conditions.
Record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide wound care, injections, IV therapy, and catheter care.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and aftercare.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety standards.
Supervise and guide junior nursing staff or nursing assistants.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Valid nursing license/registration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
Previous ward or hospital experience (1–2 years preferred).
