Job Description – Java Production Support Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a Java Production Support Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to support and maintain enterprise applications in a 24x7 production environment. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Java, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for Java-based applications in a 24x7 support workplace.
Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues.
Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
Support application deployments and maintenance activities.
Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application issues.
Perform log analysis and monitor application performance.
Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge articles.
Participate in on-call support and shift rotations as required.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and support processes.
Required Skills
1–3 years of experience in Java application support or development.
Good understanding of Java programming.
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
Exposure to Shell Scripting is an added advantage.
Solid analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with ITIL processes or production support tools is a plus.
