We are looking for a Backend Python Developer to join our growing development team in Mohali. You will be responsible for building scalable backend applications, developing secure REST APIs, and maintaining high-performance web services using Python and Django. Working closely with frontend developers and project teams, you'll help deliver reliable and effective software solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
Design, build, and optimize secure RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and business logic.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
Stay updated with up-to-date Python technologies and backend development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
1–4 years of experience in Python backend development.
Strong knowledge of Python and the Django Framework.
Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
Knowledge of REST API design and development.
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of Redis, Celery, or background task processing.
Basic understanding of React.js or Vue.js.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
