This position is responsible for partnering with Category Managers to develop strategies for product supply or services, drive RFx activities and manage strategic programs. These strategic programs include developing sourcing plans in support for indirect category, skilled services, logistics, new initiatives, driving cross-functional activities for large scale cost programs, or re-sourcing. suppliers.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with category Managers to define cost/delivery/quality improvement project objectives and manage the projects against plan to ensure commitments are met
Support/lead sourcing projects in tandem with Category Managers to drive improvements in cost/delivery/quality
Prepare supplier selection recommendations - including RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication, and participation in sourcing decisions.
Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost,
delivery performance, schedule and quality.
Interface with Category Managers and Functional Stakeholders to ensure project tasks are completed and milestones are met
Drive cost reduction initiatives, supplier pre-award reviews, development milestones, and approval processes
Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification & Certification (if applicable)
Bachelor’s Degree (in Engineering or Supply Chain preferred) from top tier University
Good academic records, 60 % & above across all academics
Experience
10+ years of experience in direct Sourcing in mechanical commodities.
Experience in multi-national, global operations preferred
