Role and responsibilities
Develop, document, and standardize processes through SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, and PFMEA.
Conduct time studies, establish accurate routing times in SAP, and define takt time and process time.
Support line balancing and capacity planning, including manpower and equipment requirements.
Participate in prototype, pilot, and validation builds as part of Current Product Introduction (NPI).
Coordinate with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams during initial builds and update process documents based on lessons learned.
Ensure manufacturability, ergonomics, tooling, and safety requirements are considered during the early stages of product development.
Identify bottlenecks and drive productivity improvements using 5S, Kaizen, MOST, Lean, and VA/NVA/RNVA studies, including layout improvements and automation projects.
Identify tooling requirements, coordinate fixture design and development with the tool room or vendors, and validate tools for safety, capability, and repeatability.
