Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Deputy Manager – Legal to join our Legal team. The role will primarily focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and exposure to international agreements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in handling commercial contracts and ensuring legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, vet, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including:
Commercial agreements
Service agreements
Vendor & supply contracts
Licensing and collaboration agreements
Prepare and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality agreements
Ensure all contracts are compliant with applicable laws and internal policies
Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual matters
Support business teams in contract negotiations and risk mitigation
Work on and assist with international contracts/agreements
Maintain contract database and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Coordinate with external counsel when required




Identify legal risks and recommend practical solutions

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Mandatory: LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws)
Preferred: LL.M. (Master of Laws)
Experience:
4–8 years of relevant experience in contract drafting and vetting
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing industry is preferred
Solid exposure to international agreements will be an advantage

Skills & Competencies
Robust knowledge of contract law and commercial legal frameworks
Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to interpret complex legal documents
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Positive communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates currently handling contract drafting and vetting roles are strongly preferred
Experience working in a corporate legal team or reputed law firm
