A Core Tax skilled is responsible for utilizing research skills and applying foundational tax knowledge to identify potential tax issues. This role involves gathering the necessary client information for filing, participating in tax planning, recognizing, and communicating potential risks, preparing tax accrual workpapers, and using tax software applications to complete tax returns for review.

In this role, the Experienced/Senior Tax Associate will serve as the primary contact for general questions and information. They may also supervise and review the work of Tax Associates and prepare complex tax returns.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting or another relevant field required.
Masters degree in accounting beneficial, masters degree in taxation preferred.

Experience
3 + years of prior experience in working on Form 1040 (Global Mobility/Global Employer Services)
Prior experience in working on K-1’s, Foreign Tax Credit and Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.
Proficient in Tax Split/Tax Equalization Calculation.
Prior experience with individual tax return experience (Form 1040).




Prior basic supervisory experience preferred.
Understanding of financial statements and the underlying supporting workpapers.
CPA, EA would be added advantage.

Software
Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat, SP Binder.
Experience in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, SP Binder or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers.
