Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Execute end-to-end payroll processing for India payroll within defined timelines.
Validate payroll inputs including recent hires, exits, salary revisions, variable pay, bonuses, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
Perform Gross-to-Net (G2N) payroll validation to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
Review payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before payroll finalization.
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS, and other payroll-related requirements.
Support payroll audits and maintain payroll documentation and records.
Work closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Manage employee payroll queries and provide timely resolution for both routine and complex payroll-related issues.
Utilize Workday and Dayforce systems for payroll input management, validation, reporting,
and employee data administration.
Participate in payroll process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, payroll policies, and compliance requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • 25 years of experience in India payroll processing. • Robust understanding of end-to-end payroll operations and payroll controls. • Hands-on experience with Workday and Dayforce. • Sound knowledge of Indian payroll statutory compliance and taxation. • Experience in payroll reconciliations, validations, and reporting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools. • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
