The Assistant Manager – HRBP will serve as the strategic HR partner for the plant operations, driving key people initiatives while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work workplace. The role demands hands-on experience in industrial relations, statutory compliance, and employee engagement in a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the HR Business Partner for the plant, working closely with functional and operational leaders to align people strategies with business goals.
Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary procedures in a fair and timely manner.
Oversee end-to-end contract labor management, including onboarding, compliance checks, and contractor coordination.
Manage union interactions and support negotiations to maintain a harmonious and collaborative work culture.
Lead initiatives around performance management, employee engagement,
learning and development, and retention.
Ensure adherence to labor laws including the Factories Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, and other applicable regulations.
Drive audits, internal reviews, and statutory reporting in alignment with compliance norms.
Candidate Profile
Strong experience as an HRBP or Plant HR qualified in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
Knowledge of labor laws, statutory regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage challenging situations with integrity.
