Job Description – L3 Network Services Engineer Infoblox DDI
Role Summary
The L3 Network Services Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management) and Infoblox NetMRI platforms. This role acts as the final technical escalation point, owns network services automation, compliance, and visibility, and leads critical incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Infoblox DDI (Primary Responsibility)
Design, deploy, and manage Infoblox DDI solutions (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
Architect highly available and scalable DDI environments across:
Data centers
Campus networks
Branch offices
Hybrid cloud environments
Configure and optimize:
Authoritative and caching DNS services
DHCP scopes, failover, and lease policies
IPAM subnet, network,
and address management
Implement and maintain:
DNS high availability and Grid architecture
DNS forwarding and delegation
Role-based access control (RBAC)
Integrate Infoblox DDI with:
Active Directory
Network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
Cloud platforms and automation tools
Troubleshoot advanced DDI issues:
DNS resolution failures
DHCP allocation issues
IP conflicts and stale records
Perform Infoblox upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning
Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security policies
