About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend services deployed on Cloud Run, integrating GraphQL (Strawberry), and building event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub.

This role requires robust system design skills, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities




Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
Build and maintain GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
Deploy and manage containerized services on Google Cloud Run
Implement asynchronous and event-driven systems using Google Pub/Sub
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Implement CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in Python
Hands-on experience with FastAPI
Experience building GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
Robust experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Pub/Sub
Solid understanding of microservices architecture
Experience with asynchronous programming in Python
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
