Senior Finance & Operations Manager – US Project Payroll Reporting

About Jabi Trucking:
US trucking & heavy-civil company. Our India team owns US back-end operations and front-end communications for public projects.

The Role:
Lead the US project payroll reporting function. Build systems, drive deadlines, optimize team performance, and deliver clean, on-time submissions to client/agency portals with explicit communication to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end reporting flow: data intake (paystubs, timecards, dispatch) → validation → packaging → portal submission.
Design and enforce SOPs and checklists; keep documentation organized, named, and audit-ready.
Run a high-accountability team: hiring, onboarding, daily stand-ups, task assignment, QC reviews, SLAs/KPIs, and performance feedback.
Maintain master schedules, due dates, and risk logs; prevent delays and explicit blockers fast.




Coordinate with HR/Driver Compliance, Dispatch, Billing/AR, and US project leads for smooth handoffs.
Publish concise weekly status: submissions, exceptions, risks, corrective actions.
Improve cycle time, accuracy, and visibility with Excel/Google Sheets trackers and dashboards.

What We’re Looking For:
6–8 years in payroll/finance operations for international clients; 2–3+ years leading teams.
Proven delivery on rules-heavy work (rate tables, job codes, approvals) under tight deadlines.
Expert in Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, error checks, data validation; bonus: Power Query / Apps Script).
Solid organization and written/verbal English; confident with US stakeholder calls on night shift.
High-ownership leadership style with clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
