As our Project Manager – Power Evacuation, you will lead the design, construction, and commissioning of critical power evacuation systems for large-scale solar projects. Your expertise will ensure that every megawatt generated reaches the grid reliably and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end execution of power evacuation infrastructure, including AIS/GIS substations, bays, and transmission lines up to 220 kV and above.
- Develop detailed execution plans (L1 to L3 schedules) aligned with project timelines, resource availability, and risk assessments.
- Lead evaluation and performance management of EPC contractors across scope, schedule, quality, and safety KPIs.
- Direct site-level construction activities covering civil, electrical, and structural works for substations and transmission lines.
- Manage testing and commissioning of HV equipment including protection systems, SCADA, and grid interfacing.
- Drive grid compliance testing including PFR, AVR, Reactive Power Capability, and Voltage Ride Through per CEA/CERC norms.
- Monitor budgets, identify critical risks, and implement mitigation plans to prevent execution delays.
What You Bring
- B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- 15+ years of experience in power evacuation for renewable or utility-scale projects.
- Proven track record delivering projects of 200+ MW capacity including evacuation infrastructure.
- Solid command over AIS/GIS substation and transmission line construction methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of commissioning protocols, grid compliance testing, and performance validation.
- High proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and substation layouts.
