Customer Service Representative – Flood Cert Processing
The role of a Flood Certification Reviewer is vital for ensuring that properties are accurately assessed for flood risk in accordance with federal regulations. This position requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and robust communication abilities to provide reliable flood zone determinations and contribute to informed decision-making within the real estate and mortgage industry.

What you'll do
Document Analysis: Review and analyze flood certifications, elevation certificates, property maps, and other relevant documents to determine the accuracy of flood zone designations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that flood certifications adhere to federal regulations, including those established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and other relevant agencies.
Flood Zone Determination:



Assess flood zone designations and verify whether a property is located in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) or other flood zones as defined by FEMA.
Elevation Verification: Evaluate elevation certificates to confirm that structures meet the required elevation standards for the respective flood zone.
Data Accuracy: Cross-reference information from various sources to ensure accuracy in flood zone determinations and related data.
Communication: Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to provide accurate flood risk assessments and necessary documentation.
Issue Resolution: Address any discrepancies or issues in flood certifications by conducting research, communicating with relevant parties, and proposing solutions.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes to flood mapping regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure accurate and current assessments.
