We're seeking a SDE Intern with Python expertise to join our robotics software team at Origin (Formerly 10xconstruction).

You'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust backend services that power our construction robotics platform, from data processing pipelines to robot telemetry systems.

What You’ll Work On
Build and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI / async systems).
Develop frontend dashboards using JavaScript / React.
Work with Linux-based systems (development, debugging, deployments).
Design and integrate REST / WebSocket APIs.
Debug real production issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
Collaborate with robotics and systems engineers to support robot workflows.

Required Skills
Solid fundamentals in computer science and systems thinking.
Proficiency in Python.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and React.
Comfortable using Linux (CLI, processes, networking basics).
Understanding of APIs, client-server architecture,



and async workflows.
Ability to read, understand, and modify existing codebases.

Valuable to Have
Experience with Docker / containers.
Basic DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, deployments, monitoring).
Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL / SQLite).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP).
Interest in robotics, real-time systems, or distributed systems.
