The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of building construction projects. This role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to track progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 / MS Project
Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines
Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
Track engineering, procurement, and construction activities against planned timelines
Identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks and recommend mitigation strategies
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
Perform critical path analysis and highlight key project risks
Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and vendors for schedule inputs
Ensure alignment between project milestones and contractual deadlines
Assist in resource planning and allocation
Maintain documentation related to planning and scheduling
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors/Master degree in Engineering (Civil )
NICMAR Candidate preferred.
Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in project planning for EPC / infrastructure / building construction projects.
Sector Exposure: Residential, Commercial, Institutional, or Infrastructure Projects.
