Education Qualification: Engineering Graduate/MCA or equivalent
5+ years of strong hands-on experience in mainframe development using COBOL,
JCL, DB2, IMS DB/DC , SORT, and mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, FILE-AID, TSO/ISPF, etc.)
Proven ability to work independently on end-to-end development tasks with minimal guidance.
Solid experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), including user stories, sprint deliverables, and tools like Jira/Rally/Confluence
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) – able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document clearly, and present solutions
Valuable understanding of mainframe concepts: VSAM, GDG, datasets and abend handling
Experience with version control/change management tools (Endevor/ChangeMan/ISpw) and testing/debug tools (Xpediter/InterTest).
