Role & responsibilities
Robust C++ and C# / .NET development experience in production Windows desktop software.
COM and ActiveX demonstrated experience building, debugging, and maintaining COM components and ActiveX controls, including interop scenarios.
Windows internals deep understanding of the Windows desktop platform (processes, threading, message loops, window/UI focus handling, registry, services, high-DPI and multi-monitor behavior).
WebView2 experience integrating and debugging WebView2-based surfaces, relevant to Recent Outlook (Monarch), web Teams, and Copilot integration.
Secure coding practices proven ability to write code that follows Microsoft security and accessibility coding standards, with awareness of common vulnerability classes and how to prevent them in a desktop Windows codebase.
Veracode hands-on experience running static analysis scans and remediating findings, ideally on a recurring/weekly cadence as part of release readiness.
Comfort working in a large, legacy enterprise Windows codebase with established patterns and constraints.
Nice To Have Skills
•Background in speech, audio, NLP, or accessibility products (a plus, not required if Windows desktop depth is robust).
•Familiarity with installer-driven release risk and packaging for desktop deployment.
•Experience contributing to automated test development and regression coverage.
