Key Responsibilities
Sample Collection
Perform venepuncture, capillary puncture, and other sample collection procedures
Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other clinical samples as per test requirements
Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection.
Patient Care & Communication
Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns politely
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene during sample collection
Inform patients about available radiology/pathology services and encourage combined utilization.
It is mandatory to collect patient feedback for all services as part of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Promote preventive health packages, profiles,



and add-on investigations strictly based on doctors advice, supported by thorough knowledge of disease-based health packages and pathology & radiology tests to effectively guide patients and ensure accurate counselling and conversion
Handle paediatric, geriatric, and critical patients with care
Sample Labelling & Handling
Label samples accurately with patient details, date, and time of collection
Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples maintaining cold chain where required
Prevent sample contamination, haemolysis, or rejection
